1. Plan well in advance and plan scam-free.

It’s always better to plan a trip well in advance and via genuine/trusted tour operators. Booking in advance always proves to be economical and you always stay excited about the trip. It would be good if you plan the itinerary as per the tour operator to get the maximum out of your tour and travel scam-free.

 

2. Track the climate and temperature in advance for the trip.

India has a tropical climate which is a mixture of wet and dry tropical weather. In northern parts, there is a humid tropical climate and along the western coast lies wet tropical areas. In central India, where we have maximum wildlife and parks, the average minimum temperature in winter is 10°C, though it can drop as low as 1°C and rise to a maximum of 25°C. Summer temperatures range from a low of 22°C to a high of 38°C, though it can get quite hot, with temperatures as high as 48°C.

 

3. Prepare yourself for culture and wildlife shock.

Fleece/jumper jacket, hat gloves & scarf if you’re coming out in the cooler months from November-February. Also, a light rain jacket can be useful. 5. Don’t forget the essentials – Documents, Cosmetics, Medication.

Do carry the essential documents like pre-booked permits, COVID vaccination certificates, and others. Also, don’t forget to carry some basic medical repellents like mosquito repellent cream, sun protection, etc. Keep basic medication handy, like Paracetamol, Pepto-Bismol, Advil, Asprin, band-aids, disinfectants, etc.

9. Travel Insurance – Is it required?

Many of our clients have inquired, “Is travel insurance required for trips to India?” While purchasing travel insurance (sometimes known as “travelers insurance”) is not required for visitors to India, it is strongly advised that travelers protect their journeys. Medical travel insurance covers visitors to India in the event that they are injured or sick while on vacation. Most domestic health insurance plans do not cover abroad travel, thus tourists regularly purchase these plans.

 

10. Landed in India? Get your Sim Card, Bottled water, and Document verification.

Once you land, you must get an Indian sim card to connect and communicate with people in India i.e your tour operator, drivers, hotels, guides, etc. Always prefer and ask for bottled water.  Get your documents verified and always keep copies of the same.
