About Tiger Safari India

Ishana Vats’ journey into the world of wildlife was not born in the jungle, but in the classroom. Having studied environmental law, she was deeply aware of the fragile balance between development and conservation. Yet, as she completed law college, she realised that her true calling lay beyond courtrooms and case files; it lay in the wild, where the need for protection was immediate, visible, and deeply personal.

What began as an academic interest soon transformed into a passion. The more she engaged with India’s wilderness, the more she understood that conservation was not just about policies, but about people, ecosystems, and meaningful on-ground action. She saw firsthand how wildlife tourism, when done responsibly, could become a powerful force – supporting local communities while safeguarding habitats.

Driven by this belief, Ishana chose to step into the field with Tiger Safari India, where she found the perfect intersection of purpose and action. Her work reflects a commitment to creating experiences that inspire travellers, while quietly contributing to a larger mission of conservation. For her, every safari is not just a journey into the wild, but an opportunity to foster awareness, respect, and long-term change.

Today, Ishana continues to follow that calling, bridging her academic roots with real-world impact, and playing her part in ensuring that India’s incredible wildlife heritage thrives for generations to come.

Our Horizon

Our Purpose in Action

To achieve guest delight through consistent delivery of quality service by our motivate workforce to maximize benefit to all stake holders and minimize water and carbon footprint of our operations.

How do we accomplish our purpose

We work with various non-profit organizations in different landscapes and support them in their objectives. Be it education, providing library support, afforestation, water supply, rain water harvesting, and man-animal conflict compensation. For further details, read here.

Our CSR Initiative

For us, the concept of CSR means ‘Conscious Sustainable Responsibility’, an important aspect if we are even remotely hoping to save our forests and its inhabitants. The future of wildlife is directly linked to the benefits it can generate to the local community. We believe in a two-fold program:

Community-based conservation program

We engage local staff for our safaris. They learn a lot about the jungle, the inhabitants and the delicate balance required for man and the wild to flourish in harmony. In addition, a steady flow of income ensures they depend less on the forest, reducing encroachment.

Funding wildlife conservation

Some individuals, and some non-profit organizations are doing exceptional work bringing awareness and action towards not only the preservation of various species but also educating the locals. We have joined hands to help fund two such initiatives:

Kanha Bhoor Singh School in Mukki

This is a unique learning place for young children of the staff of the forest department & the children of local communities of the nearby villages, providing them basic education using interactive stories, and sing-along songs.

Waste Warriors, a non-profit organization

Educating locals and managing solid waste around 150 villages on the periphery of Corbett National Park. You may read more about Waste Warriors here.

Donor to a Well-Equipped Library

Tiger Safari India donates to a well-equipped library in Baihar, giving local kids and community members educational resources. This program provides books, study supplies, and a quiet environment for impoverished youngsters to learn. In partnership with local schools and non-profits, the library has become a community hub for education and empowerment.

Establishing a Thriving Forest in Kanha River Camp

Tiger Safari India transformed 12 acres of desolate land in Kanha National Park into a lush grassland habitat. A variety of animals uses this restored environment, including grassland birds, reptiles, and deer and antelope. Tigers hunt in the regenerated habitat, generating a balanced and flourishing biodiversity hotspot that improves Kanha’s ecological health.

Supporting Wildlife - Installed Solar Pumps in Dudhwa & Kanha National Park

Tiger Safari India donates and associates with multiple non-profit organisation in India which includes Earth Focus, Earth Brigade Foundation, Satpura Foundation and more. We thrive to provide back to nature by helping orginasations to build solar pumps in national parks, supporting and adopting schools where local communities can learn and grow.
