About Tiger Safari in Ranthambore Tour
Located in the Aravalli Range in Rajasthan, Ranthambore National Park lays right in the heart of the action packed Golden Triangle. Easy to travel to in a short time, it is an ideal park for someone who has little time on hand. With a thriving Tiger population, a Tiger Safari at Ranthambore offers the best chance of witnessing the big cat at close quarters.
The people here tell you stories of legendary Tigers such as “Machli” and “Ustad”, the former being the Tiger responsible for putting Ranthambore on the World Map with several documentaries depicting her life as “The Lady of the Lakes”.
The landscape itself is extremely interesting, as several large lakes provide life for the animals which live there, Savannah grasslands provide feed and are excellent hunting spots for the large Ungulates. The Park was a former hunting ground of the Maharajas of Jaipur, and its old Forts and outposts adorn the place, adding to its uniqueness.
The Tigers here are large in size, and with very limited corridors for dispersal live and die within the landscape itself. It is a photographers dream, and one never goes away disappointed after a tiger safari in Ranthambore.
