About Tadoba Tigers and Corbett Elephant Tour

A perfectly blended tiger safari India tour to see the national animal of India and the mighty white tusks, Tadoba and Corbett present to you the ideal combination of wildlife and landscape. Our mythology and folklore abundantly talk about these animals. The grit of the Tiger and the intelligence of the Elephant holds your attention through the entire safari.

James Edward Corbett, or Jim Corbett if you must, was the man behind Corbett National Park and everything that surrounds it. His riveting accounts of shikars in the Himalayan foothills have kept millions of readers enthralled for decades. This gem of a park also gave birth to wildlife photography in India. From the era of FW Champion to present day, Corbett is a Mecca for every photographer. The sheer diversity, beauty, and suspense of Corbett makes it a must-visit if you want to understand Indian Wildlife.

Tadoba, on the other hand, is a national park in central India, which shot to fame 7-8 years ago. Just like a sub-adult Tiger is boastful of his power, so is Tadoba of its Tiger sightings. This park combines well with other national parks if one has time to explore more of Indian Wildlife while on a tiger safari in India, like Pench National Park, Satpura National Park and the grandeur of Kanha National Park. Plenty of mammals like Dholes (wild dogs), Leopards, and of course Tigers are sighted and give you plenty of time to take images. The pleasure of taking good Tiger photos or videos is immense as you capture a memory for posterity.

Early morning transfer to the domestic airport with our representative, who will check-in for your flight to Nagpur. Upon arrival in Nagpur, a representative will meet you at the airport who will transfer you to Tadoba National Park in your chauffeur driven vehicle. This is just a 100 km drive and will take you about 2-3 hours on the road. On arrival, check into your lodge in time for lunch. This afternoon, you will enjoy your first game drive into Tadoba National Park, with your naturalist.

Tadoba is one of the first national parks in Maharashtra having a splendid Tiger population. It is dominated by teak and bamboo. It forms a corridor with Pench National Park, giving a free pass for Tigers to roam around in ample space.

Day 3 & 4: Tadoba National Park

Take the morning and afternoon safaris to the park. One of the oldest and largest national parks in Maharashtra, Tadoba is also one of the many Project Tiger reserves in India. The deciduous forests offer a perfect set-up for Tigers, Sloth Bears, Striped Hyena, Wild Cats and Spotted Deer. Dawn in Tadoba is a time full of activity as the park’s diurnal inhabitants come to life. Tadoba has only one major track that covers the entire range of the park, so you will take a full round of its habitat before returning to your lodge. Relax and freshen up. After lunch, head out once more into the park for your evening game drive. In the evenings, Tadoba’s nocturnal animals and birds start to come alive. Return to your lodge in time for dinner and evening at your leisure.

Day 5: Tadoba – Nagpur – New Delhi (100 kms/2 hrs drive to the airport + flight)

This morning, enjoy your last game drive in India through the serene environs of Tadoba. Return to your lodge and check out after lunch. Your chauffeur will drive you to the airport in Nagpur to board your flight to New Delhi. A representative will assist you with check-in formalities at the airport. Board your flight to make your connection to New Delhi.

Upon arrival, you will be met by our representative who will transfer you to a hotel in Delhi, where you can relax and freshen up. Transfer back to the International Airport next day and board your flight back home.

Day 6 : New Delhi – Corbett (275 kms/5-6 hrs drive)

Eat an early breakfast at the Hotel in New Delhi, post which you drive to Corbett National Park. The park is at a distance of 275 km, which approximately rounds up to 05 hours on the road. On arrival, check-in at the Dhikala Forest Lodge.

The Dhikala Lodge was made about a century ago, by the English, during British Raj as they controlled and managed the forested land. Their rangers needed a retreat after an entire day of patrolling the jungle.

These forest lodges are unique to Corbett National Park. It is only in Corbett that you get an opportunity to stay inside the National Park. This particular complex is located on the banks of the Ramganga River and overlooks the foothills of Himalayas.

Post lunch, proceed for an afternoon safari to one of the most scenic National Parks of India. Please Note: Only vegetarian food is served in the Lodge, to prevent any predator from smelling non-vegetarian food. Alcohol consumption is also not permitted within the Lodge premises.

Return from the afternoon safari at sunset. Dinner and overnight at Dhikala Forest Lodge.

Day 7 & 8: Corbett National Park

Begin your morning safari at sunrise. Corbett has aptly been described as the land of the Roar, Trumpet, and Song. The scenic and remarkable beauty of Corbett leaves everyone clicking their shutter button.

Corbett had the proud distinction of being the chosen venue for the inauguration of Project Tiger in India. The rich biodiversity of the Reserve is partly attributed to the plethora of habitat found here. Due to the location of the Reserve in the foothills of the Central Himalayas, both Himalayan and peninsular flora and fauna is found in the Reserve.

Dinner and overnight at Dhikala.

Day 9: Corbett - New Delhi (275 kms/5 hrs drive)

After the morning game drive in the Dhikala Zone and breakfast, checkout from the lodge and drive toward the exit gate of Corbett National Park. Don’t pack your camera bag as you could encounter wildlife on the main road while driving out to the park gate. A three-night stay seems very little in this paradise.

Once you’re out of Corbett, drive to New Delhi. The distance is about 275 kms which should take you approximately 05 hours on the road. Transfer to the Hotel/Airport for your onward journey.
